Caller ID Display Behaviour on Panasonic Analogue Phones with Grandstream ATAs

This article is to document observed behaviour when using a Panasonic analogue cordless handset with a Grandstream ATA on the platform. You can see below that the default behaviour is to show "Out of Area" on line 1 and the remote party number on line 2.

Out of area is shown when there is no directory entry for the remote party phone number. To replace Out of area with a contact name you can either add a directory entry to Uboss or you can add a directory entry directly on the handset itself. You can see below the remote party number is 1232 and the name for that phone number in the Uboss directory is test user 1232.
