Which call recording platform do you use?

Our call recording platform is custom developed by the Uboss team. It uses industry standard SIPREC for recording.

In which format are my recordings stored?

All call recordings are stored in MP3 and are available to play or download in the Uboss portal.

Where are my recordings stored?

All recording files are stored in the London region of AWS in Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).

Are my recordings backed up?

By default all recording files are stored in a minimum of 3 physical locations in London. We also automatically make a copy of your recording and store it in the Ireland region of AWS as a backup.

How long are my recordings kept?

The retention period for your call recordings is fully configurable by you. Recordings can be kept for anywhere between 1 day and forever.

What happens if I delete a user with recordings?

If a user is deleted in Uboss and they have call recordings then the call recordings will be retained as per the retention settings of that user.

What happens if I delete a business with recordings?

When a business is deleted from Uboss all recordings will be deleted.

How do the permissions work?

Recordings are available in the Uboss portal. Access permissions are managed using call recording listening groups. Further details can be found here.

Can I find out who has listened to my recordings?

Yes. Uboss keeps an audit log of all play and download requests.

Can I export my call recordings from Uboss?

Yes. Uboss offers a service call recording copy that allows you to automatically ship your call recordings to an external server.
