HPBX Setup Checklist

Article summary

To ensure the smooth setup and use of your HPBX SIM we recommend the below points are reviewed and implemented:

VoLTE
By default on setup VoLTE is disabled on Iphones when using the Tango SIMs with Android and both with IQ it should be enabled by default however we recommend this setting be checked and enabled.

WifiCall
This is only available with IQ, and allow capable mobiles to use Wifi to make/take calls which is particularly useful if you have low mobile signal indoors but have wifi available. Different mobiles have different options regarding wifi calling preference our recommendation is that it be enabled on the mobile if available.

Mobile Number
The mobile number associated to the SIM does not have to be assigned to the user in Uboss, for the user to receive inbound calls on their mobile number it will need to be assigned to the user as either their DDI or via the Alternate number user service.

Mobile Data required for initial SIM setup
If during SIM setup you are find that it is unable to connect to the EE network please try disabling the Mobile Data credit lock against the user. Once the SIM has connected you can enable the Mobile Data credit lock again to make sure they do not use any data but we have found during initial setup that this credit lock can prevent setup.
