1. Can you dial someone by name
A. yes however the call will be a direct teams to teams call. If you want to ring them on a SIP device away from Teams you must dial their extension or DDI.

2. Can Teams import the company directory from Uboss?
A. No this is not possible. A common request is for Microsoft to offer a company or corporate directory for extenal contacts but it is not something they have offered so far.

3. Are any additional licenses required for initial setup of the Teams calling integration?
A. Yes. As per the setup guides, 2 of the following licesnes are required for initial setup/synchronisation between C2T and Microsoft Teams
Microsoft 365 Business Basic or equivalent Business Licenses
Microsoft E3 or E5 licenses
Microsoft Teams Phone Standard

4. Which Microsoft Licenses are required for calling?
A. Microsoft Teams Phone Standard without Calling Plans or E5 license. Teams Shared Devices license will work but does not support the chat function in Teams.

5. Does Akixi work with Teams Calling
A. Yes, but please note that it can only report on calls that have come through or gone out of the voice platform. Any Teams to Teams internal calls cannot be seen by our network and cannot be reported on.

6. Does the Teams Calling packages require a Microsoft Teams Phone license?
A. Packages A & B do require, but C & D do not require Temas Phone licenses and utilise something called C2T Go.

7. Can any Microsoft Global Admin synchronise a business?
A. No. The Global Administrator must be for the specific business. E.g. globaladmin@businessA.com cannot sync for businessB.com

8. Can a normal hosted SIP user call anyone on Microsoft Teams.
A. No, they can only call a user on Teams, if the Teams user has a Teams Calling license. Otherwise they will only be contactable via Teams to Teams calling.

9. Using Unity for Warm Call Transfer is not working.
A. When using Unity for warm transfer, the Teams user must be able to accept a new incoming call.If this is not working it is likely that you have Busy on Busy set in your calling policy in MS Teams. This can be set in the Teams Admin Portal>Voice>Calling Policies.This must be disabled for the user to be able receive the new incoming call for the Warm Transfer scenario. 10. Does Call Recording Work and can the calls be seen in Uboss.
A, Yes they can, however, much like Akixi if the call made is a Teams to Teams call it never goes across out network and will not be recorded by us.

11. Why is there a delay after initial start up of the app.
A, When the app is first started there can sometimes be a delay when making an outbound call or answering an inbound call. This has previously been raised to Microsoft but appears to be with the app loading and not something that can be changed. After the initial call, all subsequent calls should be fine.

12. Is there Name Resolution for Inbound Callers.
A.Microsoft have advised that the only guaranteed way to present a caller name is for the Teams user (The Recipient) to create a Teams contact for the caller.
This will achieve the following:

  • Toast pop up

  • Teams feed
